Candidates preparing for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates, also known as WAEC GCE Second Series, can now access the Computer Based Testing (CBT) timetable, with the examination set to run from Friday, September 4 to Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) made the timetable available for all candidates who have completed registration for the 2026 Second Series, alongside notice that all Past Questions, both objective and theory, complete with solutions and answers, are available online.

Candidates were advised to prepare using the Myschool WAEC CBT Mobile App or the Myschool WAEC CBT software, both designed to help candidates familiarise themselves with the CBT environment while covering WAEC Past Questions. Candidates, schools, examination centres and resellers are also permitted to distribute the software and app to intending candidates.

Registration for the examination remains ongoing, with the closing date for PIN generation set for Friday, August 28, 2026. Intending candidates have been advised to complete their biometric capturing and online registration by 11:59pm on Sunday, August 30, 2026.
