The National Youth Service Corps has announced that the 2026 Batch B Stream II Orientation Course for prospective corps members deployed to Sokoto and Niger states will commence on Wednesday, 12 August 2026, and close on Tuesday, 1 September 2026.

The scheme disclosed the schedule in a notice published via its official Facebook handle on Tuesday, 4 August, urging all affected prospective corps members to take note of the dates and make necessary preparations ahead of the exercise.

"The NYSC Management wishes to inform 2026 Batch B Stream II Prospective Corps members posted to Sokoto and Niger States that the Orientation Course in the two states is as follows: Commencement Date: Wednesday 12th August, 2026. Closing Date: Tuesday 1st September, 2026," the scheme stated.

The announcement followed the release of the 2026 Batch B Stream II deployment list on Monday. "2026 Batch B Stream II Deployment has been released," NYSC confirmed in a separate notice.

Prospective corps members posted to the two states are advised to complete all required registration and verification procedures, including NERD clearance, and to avoid night travel to orientation camp venues in line with the scheme's recent safety advisory.
