The University of Benin has opened its acceptance fee payment portal for candidates offered provisional admission into the 2026/2027 academic session, with a deadline of Monday, 21st September 2026, set for all payments.
The management of the institution announced that the portal became active on Monday, 24th August 2026, giving admitted candidates four weeks to complete the payment process. Candidates who fail to pay within the stipulated period risk having their admission offers withdrawn.
Before proceeding to the university's portal, all admitted candidates are required to first accept their offers on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Central Admissions Processing System. The university noted that acceptance on JAMB CAPS is a prerequisite for completing subsequent admission and registration processes.
Candidates are thereafter directed to log on to the university's admission portal at https://portal.uniben.edu/#login to confirm their admission status and proceed with the acceptance fee payment.
The university directed that all payments be made exclusively through its approved payment platform. Candidates were also advised to retain their payment receipts and all relevant documents, as these will be required during the clearance and registration processes that follow.
The management urged admitted students to monitor the university's official communication channels regularly for updates on admission, clearance and registration procedures, cautioning against relying on unofficial sources for information.
The university congratulated all successful candidates and expressed its anticipation of welcoming them to its campus.
