The university has scheduled the online screening exercise to run from 14 September to 27 September 2025. Candidates are expected to complete their registration within the stipulated period, as late applications may not be accepted.

Who Is Eligible to Apply for AKUM Post UTME 2025/2026?

Not every JAMB candidate qualifies to participate in this screening. AKUM has set clear conditions that must all be satisfied before a candidate can proceed.

For UTME Candidates:

  1. You must have sat for the 2025 UTME conducted by JAMB.

  2. You must have chosen AbdulKadir Kure University, Minna, as your first choice institution on JAMB.

  3. You must meet the minimum UTME cut off mark required for your chosen faculty or programme.

  4. You must possess the required O-level results (WAEC, NECO, or equivalent), with a minimum of five credits, including English Language and Mathematics in most programmes.

For Direct Entry (DE) Candidates:

  1. You must have a valid Direct Entry registration number issued by JAMB.

  2. You must have applied to AKUM through the JAMB Direct Entry window.

  3. You must upload both your O-level and A-level results during the screening process.

How to Apply for AKUM Post UTME Screening Form 2025/2026

The entire registration process is conducted online through the university's official application portal. There is no physical submission of documents required at this stage. Follow the steps below carefully.

Step 1: Visit the AKUM Application Portal

Go to the official AKUM portal at portal.akum.edu.ng. On the homepage, locate and click on the "Application Portal" link to begin.

Step 2: Log In to Your Account

UTME Candidates: Use your JAMB registration number as your username. Any of your names as they appear on your JAMB registration can serve as your password.

Direct Entry Candidates: Use your DE Registration Number as your username and follow the same password format.

Once logged in, you will be directed to your profile dashboard.

Step 3: Complete the Screening Form

Fill in all the required fields on the form accurately. You must verify every detail before submission, as errors in personal information, course selection, or O-level subjects can affect your admission outcome.

An important note here: the passport photograph you uploaded during your JAMB registration will serve as your official ID photo throughout your entire study at AKUM. No separate passport will be accepted at this stage.

Step 4: Upload Your O-level Result(s)

Upload your O-level result(s) on the AKUM portal. Direct Entry candidates must also upload their A-level results. Critically, these results must also be uploaded on JAMB CAPS.

Uploading on one platform only is insufficient; both must be updated for your application to be complete and for you to be recommended for admission.

Step 5: Fund Your Wallet and Pay the Screening Fee

After completing your form and uploading your documents, fund your portal wallet with the sum of N2,000.00 (two thousand Naira only). This is the cost of screening and is not refundable. Payment is made directly on the university portal.

Step 6: Print Your Acknowledgement Slip

Immediately after a successful payment, generate and print your acknowledgement slip. This slip serves as proof that you have completed the screening registration. Keep it safe, as you may need it during subsequent stages of the admission process.
